How much would any of you pay for a very lightly used yeti 575? My buddy got one and then basically quit riding so I am trying to get a good offer to pitch to him. Also, would you consider it more a an xc than an AM bike or vice versa?

Not that I am a buyer, but I wish you had a picture of it here. Is it orange in color? I have heard they are sweet rigs.

I dont have a picture. He got it like last year about a year ago actually for like 2300. Rode it once or twice and that was it. Got into bodybuilding and forgot about his bikes. I just want to see what people would pay so I can throw him a fair price. I was thinking of offering a low number and giving him cash right now for it but i dont want rip him off.

What size is it and what are the options? That would attract more buyers for you.

There is a 2005 575 on ebay for $1700, which I think is a little high for a 3 year old bike. There is also a 2007 frame only for $800 thats a little more reasonable.
I use my 575 for all types of hardcore riding but I dont jump it outside of hitting drops in the course of riding. Usually 3 ft or less. I have had no problems with the bike for nearly two years-get it if you can-it is a fun ride.

It it's an XL or a L (Im right on the border) , PM me.

There were 2 for sale here a while back and I wasn't able to purchase.

I've thought about them every day since.
(not really EVERY day but alot)

Lately, I've had my eye on a new Heckler, but I rode my buddies 575 the other day and it was sweet.

In January '07 I paid $700 for an '05 575 frame with less than 100 miles on it. It was flawless cosmetically and looked brand new. Don't know if this helps, but there ya go.

The 575 holds it's value pretty well. I recently sold a '05 frame with PUSHed RP3 for $250 less than I bought it for.

    I just re-read your posts.

You aren't looking to sell if FOR him. You want to buy it FROM him and want to know how much to offer.

Buy it from him for $1000 and sell it to me for $1250. Win-Win-Win.

    Sweet bike

I'm a little biased, because it's my ride. It's AM, not XC. It can be built very light, and I suppose one could race it that way (like 25-26 lbs) but it's way more fun with a Fox 36, some beefy wheels and some fat meats. Need to know what's on it before you can estimate a price. The frame's about 1600 new (08) from there it could be a $2500 bike or a $4500 bike. Is it an 06, 07 or 08? (08s are different) Carbon rear triangle/stays or aluminum? RP23 or DHX air? Size? Offer him $1000-1200 and a case of protein drinks. PM me if it's an 08 XL with a DHX air.
