i cant seem to find any xc races coming up in the next month or two.:?: i want to do some other races with lots of climbing prior to doing the traverse. can you guys think of anything? thanks
You probably won't find any races with a bunch of climbing locally. There are XC races, but those don't have a ton of climbing. Why pay for short races if you want to do endurance? Just go out and train for free.
^ good point. i could just ride local trails at race intensity. on a scale of 1-10, how hard is the traverse?:?:
Check this thread out and ask there. http://www.socaltrailriders.org/forum/racing-training/9745-traverse.html
try doing the big bear series xc the races are all over you will meet great people. I am finding that doing a series will make you commit to training and improve on your times.
Yes! I'll be doing Team Big Bear So-Cal State Cross Country & Super D series. Other than CC this will be my first race since 1995! There are 8 races in the series and the first race is this Sunday at Bonelli Park, San Dimas.
