Hey STR, JensonUSA is currently looking for a cyclist that has a way with words! This position is based out of our Riverside, Ca location. A Web Content Writer/ Web Merchandiser engages customers with interesting and informational product descriptions. Candidates use their in depth bicycle knowledge to create product descriptions, size charts and geometry charts for bicycles and cycling related goods. Web Content Writers/ Web Merchandisers organize products on Jensonusa.com and tag products, to make them filterable on the website. A Web Content Writer/ Web Merchandiser is a gear head with an eloquent vocabulary. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Research, describe, tag, and QA new items in assigned product category (Components, Complete Bikes, Apparel, Accessories, etc) Act as a go-between from Customer Service to Purchasing, entering a new product request as opportunities or needs are identified Work with photographer to identify best sources of images for any given product Maintain flags for free shipping, temporary promotions, etc. Identify appropriate filters for each product, to ensure products are easily searchable Ensure that assigned categories are searchable, sorts and filtering tools work properly Optimize product descriptions with an eye on conversion and search engine optimization Respond to consumer inquiries regarding product specifications; update specs as necessary Qualifications This position requires a working knowledge of Office-type applications, such as the Windows operating system, word processor, web browser, and email client. Good punctuation and spelling is a must. Knowledge of HTML is helpful but not required. We’re looking for a bicycle enthusiast with strong verbal and written skills.
