Looking for a trailer hitch for a Subaru WRX 05 sedan. Seems like used ones with Subaru boards have dried up. :?:

go to http://curtmfg.com/ and find your vehicle. Then google on the part number to find the best price. (I've always ended up ordering from etrailer.com)

i have an 06 wrx wagon and i have been looking at a hitch for a bike rack because i did the roof rail delete mod and dont want to carry my bikes inside my car anymore or put the roof rails and roof rack on. The Curt hitch seems to be the best one to get about 130-140$ and it bolts on. the only down side is that no body makes a 2 in, though i have seen somebody on nasioc weld a 2 in receiver to run a bike rack but that was his only intention we was not going to actually tow anything with it.

Towing and hitch thread on Nasioc. there a lot of pics of different setups.

I saw that same thread on NASIOC. I have no intentions of towing at all so 1" 1/4 will do fine for me. I'm trying to avoid paying retail for it. #-o

Saosin had one a couple months back that he posted up.
Don't know if he sold it yet... i was undecided about it.
I now work in a place that forces me to park in a parking garage, so bikes on the roof are no go. This has me looking again to get a hitch but I really need a 2" receiver so I can use my Thule T2... or I can just swap vehicles with my wife whenever I want to ride after work. I'd much rather drive my subie though...

2nd on etrailer.com. Just bought a rack for my accord costs about $116 shipped made by draw tite. I'm going to get a custom hitch adapter for the 1.25 to 2" with about a 4-6" rise for ground clearance to get my T2 to work for it when the wify takes the 4 runner. Got 5% off w/ this code: YT09, don't know if it still works. Remember to take a look at the tongue weight specs on the hitch most class 1 are 200lbs.

I have the Curt hitch on my car. It works okay but flex quite a bit. Ran into a fellow rider with the Subaru OEM hitch and it was significantly stiffer. They run $230 or so on most Subaru parts sites.

I'd also recommend getting the lightest rack you can. Less sway when carrying big bikes. Yakima's hitch rack is made AL instead of steel and doesn't have the breakage problems of the newer T2.

My car with a bike on the rack and two on the roof.

I got a Thule 2 bike hanger rack with a curt trailer hitch. Unfortuantely I had to modify the hangers on the SPT exhaust to get it to clear. The extra long hangers did not work. #-o

I just had a draw-tite hitch put on my wifes 08 WRX etrailer has the best prices. U-Haul has good pricing on hitches/installs as well. I am in the market for a 1.25" 4 bike rack. Any recommendations for heavy bikes?

I just want the 4 bike for space... and its 2" compatible and will work on my truck as well. The hitch I got is rated at 300 hundred pounds including the rack and 4 35 pounders I dont think it would be over 200 pounds.

    Buying this one today

I read in NASIOC that the installation of a Curt Hitch wil require to cut your rear bumper. Some people say it only requires to add longer exhaust hangers. I have Greddy SP2 exhaust, I have no idea about the hangers, but that would not be an issue since I can buy Kartboy hangers.

But I dont want to cut my bumper (2007 STI).
