intriguing. only question: do I want to use it after you've cased it into a 25 ft jump?

all said though, that would be fantastic. I'll drop you a PM now...

I just bought a road bike for dirt cheap  but the shifters are toast. If anyone has any shimano STI or Sora 8 speed shifters laying around, I'll gladly take them off your hands.

Thanks for looking out, but it's for my Banshee Chaparral. No frame interference to worry about. Just the shock body.

Hey, is this swap meet gonna happen tomorrow or not?

The fires really upset a lot of people's lives and plus the traffic is horrendous. I think the 91 and 57 are still closed.

Since the 91 and 57 fwy were closed last I heard, I doubt I'll be able to make it out that way.

Based on what it's like when you stand outside (I live nearby), I definately wouldn't go - heck, I don't even want to be in my garage right now!

But tomorrow is another day. I don't think we should make a decision tonight - wait until tomorrow.

good call Lee. tomorrow is another day and we should wait for the morning to decide.

as for current conditions in fullerton:

    it's still ~80* outside
    ashen snow
    crumby air quality

interestingly, it's worse here (I'm by the courthouse now) than placentia (3 miles from the fire line in YL) :-k

I'll be there at 10ish to get a few things from people (assuming they can make it)

    i need:
rear derailleur (9-speed), w/compatible shifter. if the shifter isn't dual control, i would also need a brake lever that is compatible with linear pull (v-brake)
