That was a good time. Must have been 100 - 200 people there? I'm bad at guestimating number of people.

Here are a few pics off the iphone...

I woke up this morning at 7am but my body wouldn't budge so I missed the 8am lap, probably the 5th or 6th time that's happened  I did make it out to do a quick run though, tagged along with a group but ended up just going ahead.. then I met up with Simon to try on some shoes.. damn European 9's!

Left with a new 2.4 tire and some mud

Thanks Zach for putting the bash guard on my bike, you did a great job! :bang:

And Thank you Jason for letting me try out your bad ass bikes. Your cross bike is insane! Dino talked me out of buying a cross bike a while back, but now I want one.:)

I didnt get a chance to really walk around as I was hoping to sell my frame. I did just have someone come by and pickup a set of DH wheels that I didnt think to bring with me.

Thanks all for a good time. I actually managed to leave with less than I arrived with, so that was a plus.
Thanks Maxwell for watching my stuff while I went to the little boys room and thanks to all who helped me get rid of my bike-parts mountain.

good vibe out there. lots of good deals, lots of great people. when I rolled into the parking lot after my early lap around the loop, it looked like traffic school or something, but alas, it was just the swap meet. a solid 2/3 of the lot was full of just mountain bikers. it was nuts.

also nuts, was Pato's 2 (yes two!) easy ups full of random parts and such. so many parts....

    wheeeeeeeeee.

big thanks to simon and everyone who showed. it was good to see some old faces and put faces to old names (i actually shook hands with the mayor). as usual, pato was the man/attention whore (thanks for the deals).

on a personal note--it was like christmas. i lost a wife today, but--i mean and--got a new place to live...and a NEW BIKE. thanks, khai. it's my first ss, first 29er, and first disc-brake bike. i took it for a spin in my local park and had miles of smiles.

i may not have much, but it's because i refuse to settle for less.

I gotta throw my thanks out there too!
I had a great time with the ride, even had a silly "Crash" Maxwell moment, got to sell, and give some stuff away, and had a chance to see some faces that I hadn't seen in too long! Simon, thanks for the deal on the X9's!
Dino, I'm hearing that there is a San Gabes ride on Sunday, you in? DavidB, we still on?
