Those long work days can really put a damper on personal plans. Is the R7 a Manitou?

I was suprised they didn't. The only 27.2's they had were a couple Thomson road posts which were too short and some posts with some offset which I wasn't interested in.

I'll just live with the brake cable as is and end I'll end up copying your Hope setup once finances permit.

Cool, remember to get the mono M4's and not the minis.....you'll thank me later ;)

If Performance was still Supergo they would have had the seatpost, Performance has pretty shitty stock.

Yep, those are the one's I'm planning on eventually purchasing.

I did notice that there really was not much to choose from on the shelf. Not much in saddle selection either.

PERFORMANCE never has any kind of selection ever. Nice looking build ENDOMASTER. Get that rig built and join us on some rides sometime.

    Lookin' good.

Sweet new rig EndoMaster! I'm looking forward to seeing you on some rides. I'd like to check out your fork too. I have some parts swapping on the horizon with a new flux and I'm thinking Pike for my 5 Spot.

    Good luck with it.

I haven't had a chance to ride it yet, the parts I was waiting on didn't arrive until Saturday and Sunday I had no chance to ride.

I was planning on riding it tonight but it looks like there is rain in the forecast so that's up in the air right now, plus I need to figure out how to mount my lights to the handlebar. I forgot about the handlebar size difference but I'm trying to work something out right now instead of working like I should be.

I have it here with me in the office so we'll see what the weather is like at quitting time.

I did get a chance to ride it around my backyard, although not a fair test, I don't think I will need the shock revalved.

Good news on the shock at least! Yeah the 31.8 bar does pose issues with older light systems, but the oversize is definately the way to go. Hope you can sneak a ride in tonight and let us know how the maiden voyage goes ;)

I went for a ride tonight, at least a partial ride since I got caught in the rain and I decided to turn back 1/4 of the way into my ride.

Initial impression is that I like how the bike pedals so far, which makes me wonder how my old Enduro would have felt if I had had the shock Pushed. The 575 definitley felt "quicker" and I think I was riding it in a higher gear (smaller cog in the rear) than I normally rode the Enduro.

The only drawback, not really a drawback, is that I had a more difficult time climbing. This is just due to me needing to get used to adjusting my position on the 575. I was just used to the Enduro that I didn't really prepare myself for climbing when I came upon my first long climb. Another contributing factor I would say is that I am getting used to the new shifters. I didn't shift properly, combine that with my lack of physical fitness and you get me trying to unclip really fast before I fall. So this is not really a fair comparison to the 575, can't judge it on this point yet. On this note I must say that the 575 pushes up the hill a lot easier

The suspension felt very plush but not "boingy" if that makes sense to any of you.

So far I like it, it's overkill for the Loop and how "I" ride but I hope to be able to try it out soon in other locales. One other point, it seems to really be stable on descents. Tonight was the first time I didn't feel skittish and although I don't ride fast I found myself carrying a little more speed than normal.

I have no regrets buying it. I see myself holding on to this bike for a quite awhile and if I could only have one bike right now, this would be it. What else can I say at this point without actually riding it more?

P.S.........I saw what looked like another rider out on the Loop tonight but he was going so fast that I wasn't able to make out what kind of bike he was riding. He did seem hardcore, riding in a tank top and shorts in the rain. Could that have been the Fullerton King?

Ya, it's pretty funny when I see stuff and get all geeked about it and then look at the original posting date.

My dad wants a 575 and I was all set to call him. LOL.
