Removing SRAM XO cranks....do I have to use a crank puller tool?

    Since i use a torque wrench, its handle is generally longer than the average hex wrench. More torque. Then i will push the crank arm in the opposite direction as i am pushing the torque wrench. It will move. If it doesn't, its seized. Its just a matter of breaking it free from the 48-54nm (if i remember correctly) that was used to lock it down.

    I do put a little in the arm end every time, but still have issues. I also use a torque wrench when re-installing so over torque isn't my issue.
