    Hey guys,

Brand new rider here and I figured I'd introduce myself.

I'm 22 years old and living in Garden Grove. Its not exactly near trails, but a good 20-30 minute drive in any direction will put me at some good riding locations.

Last week I picked up a Specialized Hardrock Sport and at the moment I'm just doing some easy riding and getting use to everything. Time constraints are keeping me from going crazy with it. But I'm just trying to familiarize myself with the bike and build up my endurance for the trails.

I don't really know anyone else who does and MTB trails, so I'm always up for meeting some local riders. And if you don't mind having someone completely new slow you down a bit, let me know and hopefully I can join a group for some riding. ;)

    See everyone on the trails!

    - Scott

Dang...that reply was posted about a minute or two after I made the post!

Its great to see there are some GG people around though. I'd say I qualify for the slow rider category at this point. If you have a group going out anytime soon, let me know and I'll try and join if I can.

Personally the weekends work best for me. I work 8-5 every day, and that makes it a bit tricky for anything but a night ride (throw in travel and traffic and I dont even know if thats possible!). I know I'm busy this weekend, but anything after that I'm game for.

Definitely let me know if you're planning anything and hopefully I can tag along.

I work in Orange. After a quick check from Google maps, it looks like a 30 minute drive to Whiting Ranch. That would all depend on if CA traffic decides to be nice ;)

How much daylight do you have for the trails if you're out at 6:30?

    Welcome to the board.

If you work in Orange you could always hit up the Fullerton Loop after work. It kind of works out seeing as how the days are getting progressivly longer, more sunlight in the evening.
