I will probably join you guys if it's alright. I still need to figure out how to get to this trail. I've been to Holy Jim's for offroading but not sure if it's the same place or where in there.

Ok......I'm in for this ride! Looking forward to it.

Can somebody post a link for a map to where everybody's going to meet? I've never been to the area, so I'm absolutely clueless. Thanks!

Meet-up location for those riding to the trail head is the dirt lot at the corner of Trabuco Canyon Rd. and Trabuco Creek Rd:

    http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=33.659282,-117.585533&spn=0.008519,0.020084&z=16

Otherwise, drive east 5 miles on Trabuco Creek Rd. (dirt, bumpy road) until you reach a dirt parking area (Adventure Pass required)

    Hope that helps.

I'm trying to arrange child care to make this ride. Hopeful it works out :)

I'm gonna say you'll have a heck of a time getting to the trail head considering all the rain they've had out there today. Hope you have 4wd and mud tires. You may even need a raft and paddles!

    DeeZee's Truck

I think all of the spots are now full. However if someone wants to bring their rack I can put it on my hitch.

The rain will make the trail:bang:

The Trabuco wash could be interesting though. If there was that much mud at Cooks the road could be a problem.

ride up the dirt road on 2 wheels

    It looks like
    L8 APEKS,
    Mtnbkrdr98,
    integradriv3r,
    dutch,
    hoovermd,
    mfoga,
    ryandood
    and me
are all riding the 4.5 mile dirt road on two wheels, I am going to target 7am to start riding the road. Because that's the time DeeZee is targeting for his car, and bikes will be faster than cars.

If the creek is overflowing and there's too much water to ride through, I can bring 3 or 4 people in my Jeep straight to the trailhead. I'll scout it out before I park.

I have pictures of me and my bike back in 1994-95 or so when that whole canyon flooded and washed out and became the way it is now. I remember helping people get across the flood on downed telephone poles. It was pretty crazy. I lived in RSM and rode over there to check it out. I was fascinated by the amount of water coming down that canyon!
