Cash is really tight right now and not getting quite as much riding in as I should be. Need some spare change to get my fixed gear back up and running; a bike I actually ride 8-[

Pretty much a bone stock 2008 Giant Reign X1
Fox shox, sram gearing, race face stuff, wtb dual duty wheels (totally stiff and great to beat up).

For size reference I'm 6' and its a little snug on the climbs, but makes it all that much more flickable on the downhill (The mechanic at the shop I work at is 6'1" and also rides and medium and will climb anything). I'm sure it'd be great any where from 5'8" to our size.

In great condition, bflo or bryguy can attest to that. Also, yes, I will fix the flat for you

I'm asking $1500 FIRM or trade for stock trials bike or intermeadiate mandolin.

    Sad Day indeed :(
this bike is indeed in great condition, and wasnt beaten up at all. Ryan is a very cautious rider, and the biggest huck is maybe a 3 foot ladder, so it hasnt been thrashed.
    Great bike great price...
is anyone looking for a quick Xmas Gift?

I like the term "cautious", makes me seem like less of a pansy haha
but seriously, I might be playing the waiting game for the giant dh proto.

nope, you're just a pansy

kidding aside, it is a very clean bike. looked new when I bought it, and I must say that reignX's kick ass for everything.

also, I think I may be doing one of those new glories a little down the road too ;) we'll see how the economy is going next year first...

Dammit! If it was the 1st of the year I would take it off your hands. This is the second X1 I have for sale on here too. I'm 6'1" so a medium would work for me?

I'm a hair over 6' and Randy, the mechanic at the shop I work for, is 6'1" and rides a medium as his size of choice. Come give it a spin if you'd like

Cool. Thanks for the info. Like I said if it was the 1st of the year I would take it, but I have to wait until then for financial reasons. What springs are on it btw?

I think a 450? Im 160 and it works great, but if youre gonna be doing a bit more DH; a bump up to 500 wouldn't be bad.

I'd have to get stiffer springs regardless for the fork and the rear shock cause I'm 220+lbs with gear. Anyway if you haven't sold in a couple of weeks let me know and I will take it off your hands.

get a bottle rocket. sick for jumping, capable for DH, and still cool as hell. then you just need to sell off the reign frame and replace with a BR

I don't know his name, but I think he goes by Willy G...well, anyway, at the races up in Santa Barbara a couple weeks ago, Willy was killing it on a Reign X in pro-am dual slalom, and I think he podiumed (if not first) in 40+ expert DH. He surely showed the Reign is a well-versed bike.

really, it's all in the setup. you could run a shorter stroke shock, light air fork, and light components the whole way around for a sub-30 DS bike. good, low BB for railing turns.

then turn around, throw a 180mm fork, DH wheels/tires, and good brakes on and you have a very capable DH bike.

lightish components, medium duty tires, and a dual ring setup and you've got a nice trail/AM bike

The guy rode the bike exactly the same for both days. I think he had a Fox 36 on it. I'd never put a Totem 180 on a Reign - the 36 (or a Lyrik) would offer the best overall handling on that bike. I'd also never short-shock it - the BB is low enough.
