That is so sick, it's rather funny, the hardest part of this build isn't getting my hands on an engine, they're everywhere. I'm having a really hard time finding a bike I'm excited about.

Ok, you asked for updates, I ordered the engine off ebay, talked him down to $115. Next weekend I'm goin down to a wholesale bike parts shop, where my friends dad gets parts at cost, he says we can piece together a bike exactly to my specs, for under 140. So far things seem to be goin my way.:)

You have to upload it to your picture page first, then use the url from there. Like this
    [IMG]
Or if your photo is on photobucket or similar, just use the url from that. Basically it has to be linked on line. I can post it for you if you would like. Just email it to me if you would like.

So what is the legal status/requirements of this bike as far as being street legal?

    I'm digging it!

Few asked what I've been wondering ever since the OP. You can't ride it off road (no green sticker) and you can't ride it street without getting a licsense and that would be a major P I T A even if you could do it, so where the heck could you ride it?

Well, let me lay it out. It is under 60cc so it does not require a m2 moped license. That makes it just a bike, so it is perfectly legal to ride on roads, just the same way you do a road bike. As far as gas milage, it does about 100-120 to the gallon, so it's super environmentally friendly. Yes it is not great for off road for obvious reasons, but that doesn't stop me from pretending to be a board track racer from time to time. Basically it's just a ton of fun, with hardly any restrictions at all. Does about 30mph on a good day, and makes for a really fun ride around town.

In addition, thanks for the help with the pics, for some reason it just would not work for me. Did you get that one from behind, I really like that one.

So what is your total inve$tment in this?

    How many hours of labor?

I am seriously interested in something like this.

Also, can you put up some more pics? I absolutely love this thing.

Well, my friend and I who built them, know a guy who does it as a side job. He gets retail on bike parts from a whole sale shop. He took us there to piece together exactly what we wanted. We got the engine kits off Ebay for about $120. Time investment is huge though. To do a simple one is not bad, but for it to be custom is very difficult, because we had to jimmy-rig a lot of the parts to get them to synergies. Grand total, about $500, and 4 good solid weekends.
As far as pics, like I said, I'm having trouble getting pics, but the nice guy who put them up for me may be able to, you could ask him if you like.
