No more drama please. Alan, please don't post in this thread anymore. This is a for sale thread - keep it on topic.

I just got back what did I miss?

I think I want to sell the bike as a complete. I must have missed something good because I see some drama mentioned in a post.

    Ha Ha

I'm down with helping you and your mom find the right bike. I think the F4 might be a little large for you .
We can meet at the Path and talk to Tani and see what we can come up with. Im thinking a small lime green Sunday with white Fox 40's . The Intense SOCOM frames are great but the price is steep.
Tani might have one of his personal bikes for sale if he is anything like me he builds up the best then sells it to buy a now toy.
Hit me up when you want to go shopping.

I will be bringing the F4 to the races on Sat and Sunday.
I might be able to make a package deal with different parts on it just ask.

    Hmmm

The EVO is a Med but it is a little short she might like it.
I would want to check the stand over on it with her.
I do have it set up for DH/free ride.
It is 35 lbs with a Van 36 and a DHX coil shock on it.
You have seen it it is well set up.
    DT Swiss 440 wheels
    Thompson stem and post
    E 13 bash guard
    X9 everything
It feels a little short for me to race DH on .
    I will handle anything though.
    It can climb also.
It would be lighter if the front der and extra shifter was removed.
Right now it is my only all mountain bike so I might want to keep it. We will see. If it fits Julia and she feels good on it I might have to make it hers.

If I had a say, I would have Julia on another bike! Just being honest!

I have ridden your bike. I do remember it being set-up more towards DH (i.e. compact). Thought she may want to consider it!

Good luck with the sale!

    Bikes

Thanks Jason, Dino, Jeff S, Mudman.

Recently I've been Julias secretary - due to her wrist. Last night seems like she was on her own past her bedtime.

Anyway Julia is searching for a bike. Everone's input is greatly appreciated. I'll start a new thread on that maybe.

Jason we will take you up on your offer Fontana and Mexican food sometime soon.

Jason you are an honest salesman.

Glad to see there is interest in your bike.

    Good Luck!

Here is how i am going to have to sell it.

If I sell the frame first I will sell the parts.
The bike is mire useful as a complete bike.
If I can avoid it I would rather not part it out.:-k
The break down was more to give everyone an Idea where the price comes from.
I will take it to the races tomorrow and put a for sale sign on it and see what happens.

I will be hanging out with Kyle strait probably ha ha
It might be like a yard sale.

    See ya at the races.

    The info has been updated.
The cranks will come with the frame because they are set up to work with that frame. That also means the BB with be with the frame. The wheel set is set up with a 12MM through axle Dished for the F4 rear end.

The wheels are also specifically for the F4-F5.

The Juicy brakes are set up specifically for the F4 - F5. W/ a long steel braided brake line.

This is why I would rather just sell it all together.
It would make someones life so much easier.

    Jason

    Details about the F4
The only changes from the F4 to the F5 are the DU bushings. They went from Oil lite style bushing to plastic. The der hanger has change a little on the F5 now it has a brake away hanger.
I have the updated the DU bushings on the F4 and will service them for you as needed. As I do for the customers/friends
The geometry is the same. The cable guides have been relocated for the F5. The head tube is 1.5 OD and 1.1/8 ID on the F5 this makes the F5 slightly heavier.
The F5 is made in Taiwan. The quality is almost as impressive.
When a frame design works why change it. So the F5 is the same bike. The parts are interchangeable.
Many people like the looks of the F4 better than the F5. The Chumba head stamped into the gusset on the main triangle and attention to detail make the hand made frame the way to go of possible.
I was offered the new style but wasn't interested at all. I too like the F4 style better.
There is just something about a Hand Made in the USA bike that gives it character.
As you all know the reason I am selling this bike has nothing to do with the bike.

Let me know if you are ready to try DH I'm here for you.

A little off topic but how tall are you julia?

Steve at swd racing told me he has a crazy 8 lying around that somebody ordered but never payed for and its just sitting around. They are usually $800 with no shock but the just wants to get his cost back for it so so he said he'd sell it for $500 with whatever color powdercoat you want. I think he said it was custom made for someone 5 foot 3 but I'm not sure.

Back on topic, good luck with the sale jason, looks like a sick bike
