I bought a Camelbak from them a few months back. They did a price match that I found on another website, but that site didn't have the color I wanted in stock so I got it from Beyond Bikes. That's my limited experience dealing with Beyond Bikes, but it was a positive one none the less. I'm sure there are people on here that have actually been into the store in SD that can provide more details.
I have not tried their service, everyone I know takes their stuff to www.calcoastbicycles.com & has nothing but good things to say. Greg & Alex in the service dept. will take care of you.
just got my hubs serviced at beyond bikes... very good service! thanks to steve for taking care of it! the shop is very nice. complete stuff too! parts, accessories, clothes, name it, they got it! will do business again with them! thanks beyond!
I paid a visit on 6/25. Pretty large shop, plenty of eye candy, and if your wallet is deep you can bring some of that eye candy home (for your bike that is). However, the 20-25mins I was there browsing, nobody asked me how I was doing or what they can help me with. To be fair, the two floor sales folks were busy and the rest were in offices fielding calls generated by their website. I walked out empty handed.
I would not advise ordering from them online. Very hit-and-miss regarding inventory management and delivery time.
I heard that BB lost Yeti recently. Will they still deal with warranty claims (especially if you bought the bike there) or is best to go to an authorized dealer?
beyondbikes I bought some items online from them. I also bought a Spinergy Wheelset from them in person & I found them to be friendly and helpful.
I have bought a lot of stuff from them when they have had good sales and free shipping. The one time they had an inventory problem on a prior year part I ordered, they gave me the current part for the same price. Their airbomb.com store is great for small odd parts. I still prefer Jensons. If I order before 4:00 it will somtimes be on my porch when I get home the next day. That with regular shipping.
As I mentioned in a recent post, I have ordered online several times over the years from Beyond Bikes and have had a mixed bag of experiences. My biggest concern was that the last two purchases, which were several months apart, were followed by fraudulant activity on my credit card. I'm not saying this was because of Beyond Bikes but it was a pretty big coincidence :?:
Cool thing is that you can walk in and they will price match other companys website prices. As long as they have it in stock they are solid ..... if they have to order it i would stay away.
Not a big fan of Beyond Bikes. Every time I go into their store I have to hunt down someone to help me. I have literally sat in their store for over five minutes and not one person working their asked if I needed any help. Also, they always seem to be out of stock on the items I need.
Agreed. They are selling many items online they don't actually carry. Everytime I call them they go "we have to order to manufacture.....".
I love BB. But have had the same experience with getting someone to help me in the store. They always seem busy with something else. I found that if you walk to the back and talk to the mechanic and not one of the people at the desks you get better service. I lived 10 min from BB and loved that I was so close, now that I moved I have to drive 35 min to find a bike store that compares to BB. Bike Empire is really good too. But be depends on what your looking for, BB is more medium to high end. Bike Empire goes from the basic kids BMX up to mid range bikes.
