    Hello everyone,

I guess i'd start by stating some facts. I'm Alex, 21, and ride a FS Haro Shift R5. I started riding at young age, but never rode on the trails until two months ago. I'd honestly describe myself as a beginner that needs to work on climbing endurance!!!

I've ridden in Carbon Canyon, Peters Canyon, and the Fullerton Loop. I'll probably try Aliso Woods this Thursday. If anyone wants to crawl around with me, i ride Thursdays from 7am-12pm and Sundays 7am-10pm. :)

    Btw, i love this site!

    Alex

If Aliso is open this weekend I will probably ride both Sat and Sun starting at 0700 till 0900. I'm thinking Meadows to Lynx to Cholla to Rock it on sat and Cholla to Mathis Sunday.

Would you be down with joining them (or us, if I end up going) for the same duration of Saturday's ride?

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'll be down to ride on Sunday.

As a matter of fact, I am planning on going to Aliso woods this Sunday from 7am-10am. If anybody wants to be my guide, be my guest! :)

I can't do the Gravity day ride Sunday, because of work. But I am going to ride in Aliso with another friend(newbie) from work. You're more than welcome to join us. We'll be starting at 8:30 at 5 oaks, climb Cholla, come down Rock-it, climb Mathis, and down Lynx. Climbing pace will be slow, anyone not doing the Gravity ride is welcome to join.

dukethenuke, how many miles is that trip?

Since i'm a relatively slow climber, i was thinking of taking up Cholla and coming Rock-it. Does anyone have a better recommendation? I'd like to stay within a 12-15 mile loop.

There's lots of points in that ride where you can just head back to your car via easy fireroad in case you want to cut it short. Steve started a thread here: http://www.socaltrailriders.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2244
