Thanks Coiler, I am trying to decide between a Reign X and a Reign. A good price on a Reign X has some influence though.

the Reign X pedals very well uphill.
It would make a great super D bike, and when i had this bike, i almost raced a cross country race on it, then i decided not to race period.
if you plan on doing some sweet DH, or you want that little extra bit for the DH, i'd go Reign x rather than reign.

Most bikes these days are coming with more travel because the technology is so good there is not much bob when your climbing. You see alot of guys doing xc riding on 6" travel bikes now a days. I'd go witht he Reign X too. Look at the Kona Dawg. It used to be a 4" travle all mountain bike. Now it's a 6+1" travel all mountain bike.

I looked at the Dawg, I like that one a lot too. 1500 for a Reign X is pretty good though. Just need to find the money.

Powdercoating was done by a company in south el monte, the company that did Foes' powdercoating until Foes started to do an in house type of thing.
throw a boxxerr race on here, and you'll have a mini mobbing DH bike, ask Bryguy.
    Bump!

Correct me if I'm wrong, when you have your fork (assuming it's adjustable) cranked up to 160mm, won't it have more of a tendancy to pop-up on an up-hill terrain than if you cranked it down (theoretically) to 100m? I don't really know. I just use the simple logic that having a taller fork would make you sit less at an angle in order to steer with your handle bars than a smaller/shorter fork (which would make you have a tendancy to lean forward/keep your center of mass closer to the ground.

And for you guys checking this bike out, that is one smokin' bike. I almost bought a Giant Reign X1 because I love pedaling uphill to go downhill. I couldn't find one at the right price though! You could probably take this to a Super D race and rock the course on that beast. :bang:
