Save some for me ;). Get a 2 hr midday break from my conference, plan with swing by for some grub and to see if I can find anything else I'm sure my wife feels I can live without.

Ridng from the shop over to Oaks, via the horse trails, and Peters Canyon.
Roughly 23 miles. Not a whole lot of climbing, just the short and steep type.

You should be fine, but I won't promise anything.#-o:lol:

    Wow!

Shoot man, I was down there from 7:30am to around 6pm. BIG thanks to all of you for coming in and supporting the shop!
I know Tani and the guys really appreciate it.
As far as I could tell, they had a really good day.
There were some pretty screaming deals going outta there!

And Neighbor Tim was killing it on the BBQ!:clap::clap:
And Tink, those macaroons were very tasty!

I always enjoy volunteering my time for these events because the guys take pretty good care of this "old" guy. It's the least I can do!
And it's the one chance I get to see so many of the friends I've made through my years on the bike, and get to talk to them, without being all out of breath, and ready to fall over!

So, here's to you guys for a great day! (insert you're beverage of choice)

Wish I'd had time to savor it, but I had to blow through quickly late in the day. Despite a short wish list, I ended up not buying a thing :(

I wish the IE had a REAL LBS like The Path. I've read tons of reviews/comments by you guys here on STR and 99.9% have been favorable. Too bad they're a little out of my way for getting basic items. At one LBS I ordered a set of CX tires THREE weeks ago and they still haven't got them in. The tires are not custom and nothing special. Just 700 X 35c. ](*,)Its CX season for crying out loud. I'm thinking if I was higher up in the racing categories somehow the bike shop would have had them in already. They probably figure I'm a nobody. Who cares? I'm not part of their click... you know, those little groups of guys that congregate right before the race and they look around to see whose got what... blah, blah, blah. So much for supporting my LBS by buying three bikes from them and other crap. Internet sites... here I come. :-({|=

    Denmother to me today:
"You couldn't get Stan's at a more local bike shop?"

I drove in from Vegas today and got to the shop around 4pm. What's another 40 miles from home to The Path?

I went back in a couple times and had my credit cards ran for other stuff. :)

at 4pm things were still rocking but earlier in the day I heard it was the place to be
