Will probably work but maybe not optimal. Magura rotors are thicker(2.0mm) than most other rotors(1.8mm) by a fraction of a millimeter-makes a difference actually. The caliper is self adjusing so it will probably take up some of the difference.
In my experience, the Magura rotors are less likely to warp or bend, and are quieter than the Avids.
Enjoy your Louise' Set them up right and they will never let you down.

    hey thanks rossage!!
luckily the maguras come with a set rotors, but they dont have as many holes compared to the avid rotors.
i guess ill test both out and keep on the rotors that feel best.
    thanks again!!

I use the Magura Storm SL rotors with my Avid Juicy 3 and 5's. I had to find the right adapter for the 180 rotor since Avid used 185's for the juicy's, but, they work great. They have as much or more grab and modulation than at least the G2's they replaced.

Does the thicker rotor help reduce the gobble noise?

I switched to the Louise for my 575 after trying Avid Juicy 3, 5 and a loaner pair of Ultimates. All of the Avid brakes/rotors combos had extreme turkey gobble noise. Haven't heard a peep from my Louise brake/rotor combo for over 3 years. cant wait to try out the new MT8's on the way right now....

    oops-answered the other guys question!

Turkey gooble reduced but only slightly. With G2 rotors, it was LOUD and vibrated my entire bike. Storm SL's reduced the vibration and how frequent it would happen, but, when it does, its nearly as loud. Who needs a bell on the trails when your brakes announce your pressence to the entire trail system? I have switched to organic pads and that has nearly quieted the gooble. Luckily, my noise is on my rear brake so the organics add a little modulation at the expense of grab (less lock up).
