Due to incredible demand, the Jenson USA parking lot sale will be ONLINE this year!

I don't know how many of you have been to the sales in years past, but these were my responcibility to set up. While the last two years were incredibly successful, they were also a bear to handle. Weather it was the size of the crowd, the hoarders that sat on great deals, the long check out line, or the most obvious factor, the HEAT!

I REALLY WANT TO EMPHASIZE THAT THERE WILL NOT BE A SALE IN OUR BACK LOT!!!!

FOR THE SALE ON FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 11TH FOLLOW THIS:
    - LINKAGE -

What else you need to know?

In general, the sale items you'll find on our website on Friday, September 11th will work just like any other purchase on JensonUSA.com. However, please keep the following in mind:

Almost all the scratch and dent, demos, etc. items are one-of-a-kinds, and we have a single item on hand. Remember that putting items into your shopping cart does not reserve items for you, only placing an order does.
If an item disappears from the website and/or your shopping cart, this means it has sold out
With so many shoppers all trying to buy the same items, a very, very small chance exists that two customers might complete checkout at almost the exact same time. If we're unable to supply one of the items you ordered because someone beat you to it, we'll let you know via email, and only bill you for what we ship.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Q:If I can't shop in person, that means I can't use cash / I don't have a computer / I don't have email / I don't have a credit card

A:That's true - you'll need to use a computer and credit/debit card from Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, or Discover to shop the sale items this year. If you have not shopped with us online before, give it a try. Our website is safe and secure, offers real-time inventory, shipping estimates, etc. We're sure you'll like it.

Q:What's offered at the "online" parking lot sale?

A:Each year we save up our demos, scratch-and-dent, returns, and other one-of-a-kind items to offer to the general public. You'll find parts, complete bikes, apparel... too much to list. Additionally, you'll also find special one-day sale prices on select items from our regular inventory.

Q:I need more info or a better photo to decide if an item is right for me.

A:In this case, it might be better to choose an item from our regular new stock. Every parking lot sale item will be online with the best photo and description we've got. While you are welcome to email us to ask a question, keep in mind that the item will likely be sold out by the time you receive a response (even though we try to answer all email as quickly as possible).

Q:What's the return policy on the demo, scratch-and-dent, and one-of-a-kinds?

A:Same as any other Jenson USA item - return it within 30 days in the same condition we sold it to you for a refund of the price paid. Shipping is not refundable, unless Jenson USA made a mistake. A returns form is included on colored paper with every shipment we send to you. You don't need a seperate RMA number.

Still have a question about the "Virtual" Parking Lot Sale? Contact us.

    * There will not be a sale at the Jenson USA, Ontario building location this year. While you are welcome to stop by for a visit, the items will only be available online, so please plan on being in front of your computer on Friday, Sep 11, 2009.

wait, i dont get it. Is this some crazy egyptian holiday where it is customary to fool people? So, now the only way to get parts is to have the fastest internet connection?

I'd rather deal with an internet connection than walking around looking for bargains while seeing someone's grandma sitting and watching 3 nice frames, 15 saddles, 4 cranks, 10 Camelbacks, 4 pairs of wheelsets, 20 stems; etc...etc all because they got in first. All during the first 10 minutes!

I'm not knocking the sale. The staff was great! It was the hoarding that killed it for me.

    Is it friday or saturday?

What time does the website update and become available for us to purchase those 'sale' items? e.g., 12:01am on that day, 8:50am, etc?

I'm sure you have considered network traffic for your server :?:

The Jenson banner on the bottom says Friday, Sept 11. However, the tab says "JensonUSA Satuday Sale." I'm shooting for Friday, since "Satuday" isn't really a day, and I tend to trust the date rather than the day.

"The Virtual Saturday Sale" needs a better name. I suggest "The Virtual Friday Sale". That said, I was eagerly clicking refresh on the sale page this morning between 8:56AM and 9:02 before I realized that the sales is NEXT Friday. I don't read directions very well.

Hope I'm not being pessimistic but I predict the server is going to be brought to its knees! I've seen this happen with REI sales.

The "Virtual Parking Lot Sale" Will be held ON-LINE Friday, Sept 11th approximately 9:00am.

You should plan to shop on-line, create your order, and check out. If you really want something, be sure to put it in your cart and check out immediately. Having something in your cart does not guaranty that it will be yours. You must check out or someone else potentially can load the same item into their cart and check out before you do.

I know the parking lot sale is not the perfect solution for everyone, but we felt it would better serve the community and be business as usual for us at Jenson.

We will treat these items with the same policy as other items as long as they are returned in the same condition they were purchased.

And remember, if you click through on STR, you will be helping support a great cycling community.

youre right. the next day expect to see some of those items on ebay. last year, the next day there was a bunch of forks on ebay, somebody obviously wanted to make some money.
great, its still a free country but dang man, some folks need those parts to build or upgrade a bike, do you really need 12 pairs of Maxxis?

Last year I went and thought leaving around 8am was early. Boy was I wrong. There was already a long line when I got there and the event hadn't opened yet. When the gates did open, I didn't get in until 10+ minutes had gone by, and by then there were only scraps. I was able to manage to get some items I thought I could use, but I really needed a wheelset. Apparently they were all gone. I did see people grabbing bunch of stuff and putting them in a corner with a kid to watch them :|

I got an LX rear derailleur and finally will use it on my current bike build! Knew it would come in use! Think I got it for $7.00 used at the sale. Jenson currently sells it new for $49.

Looking for a rear LX 9-spd shifter now!

Hopefully Jenson's sale does not dissuade any STR parts-horders from mad purchasing so I'll be able to pick-up all those "extra" little goodies at the next STR Swap. \\:D/

    Thanks in advance!!

Doesn't sound nearly as bad as the chaparral sale... People were parked on the freeway offramp the last time I went.... they should just set buying limits on items to keep it fair.

There is no way Jensons server is going to not crash. I can already hear the collective screams from STR peeps around socal as they try to check out and can't. This is going to be awesome.

I'll be at the Path lol...

(just kidding I'll be screaming with you).
