Is Santiago Oaks good to ride this week?

    Wow. Thanks for sharing! I live in the area but did not notice that a fire was in the HJ. Kudos to the fire department for all their hard work fighting the blaze! I'd wait until the fire is fully contained.

    We still rode. Before parking at Santiago Hills park I asked the park ranger if we can still ride to connect to Santiago Oaks and he said it was fine but the gate was closed at the stop light going into IRP so we went around on the street to the main Santiago Oaks park parking lot instead. But we ended up going out through the connecting trail and the gate was open. No smoke at the top pretty clear, and great sunset from the haze. I've never climbed up the dam, yup it was a HAB.

    Yeah, the damn was where I had my very first MTB crash; front tire washed out while trying to make the right turn at the bottom. After that, I was like, that wasn't so bad and I haven't looked back.....
