I've been out since December because of the pain in my ankle. It's manageable but will get worse if I keep riding. So my bike just sits and taunts me. :/ I've got some exercises the doc gave me and either I ice it or take muscle relaxers. Anyone ever dealt with this and beaten it? I'm curious to know what you did.

Not that injury per say......but I did have this happen:

Have recovered enough that I rode 7500 miles last year and climbed 1,000,000' on the SS.

Even though I destroyed the cartlidge in the ankle joint, it still gives me discomfort from time to time.

Bottom line is anything can be overcome....if you don't like what your doctor has told you, get a 2nd opinion.

Last time I nearly destroyed my ankle. What really helped was a good ankle brace and tens unit for pain management. I highly recommend the Tens unit as it really sped up the healing process imo and works great manage roost pain.
