Trail conditions were perfect, no mud, trail firm and scrubbed with all the loose stuff deposited on the flats. Solo ride, I only saw 4 others, they came up with lights as I was stopped on top. It was cold as it was a sunset climb and a night drop. I was dressed for it wearing a beanie to keep my ears warm during the climb but the dudes on top said they were freezing (as I was layering up with a sweatshirt for the drop) I guess that was a bit mean but I knew it would be colder after a big climb.
Happy single trac after the rain.

it was at night, but I drew a sketch on my white board at work. Since it's winter the vision field is filled with little grains flying up in front of my eyes

What a difference a week makes. It was warm and everything is starting to crumble like April. I did a nice sunset ride with no lights and got back at 7:00 with just enough ambient to see the trail to get me home. As it got darker my white shirt was glowing electric blue-white against the darkening sky. Only two out there with lights, both must have been hikers on distant trails. I found a new trail today 2/3 the way down Lizzard Rock, it is a 200' switchback trail that was built for the new parking on Hill Cyn. It looks like fun, I would have rode it if I had lights, it would have added at least 10 minutes to my trek and I could not risk it.
    Happy twilight trails

Is that trail worth the drive from OC? I've only ridden around Cheeseboro but with the gas prices so low I'd like to explore diff areas

yes and no. It is the luge with more turns. scary fast if you want it to be. the far side of inside turns are all carved, the far side of outside turns are all exposure. lots of high speed single track air.
so yes fun fun, and no it's like the Luge
